Education--"Great Classroom Computer Buys on a Coke and Lunch Money Budget -- 68K Macs"

a column by Steve Wood. "The 68K Mac lineup is a fantastic smorgasbord for budget minded vintage Mac shoppers."

[Update] PrintToPDF 2.2.3, an excellent shareware app, has been released and is available for download. From the author James Walker, Changes in this update:

    * Fixed a crash in FileMaker Pro.

There is still an unresolved problem with FileMaker: A database that was created under Mac OS 9.1 can't be printed with PrintToPDF. (It doesn't matter what OS version you use at print time.) I am waiting for help from Apple and FileMaker Inc. developer tech support.

    * Improved the URL-recognition code so that it doesn't make bad links when an @ sign occurs in a context other than an e-mail address. In some cases this problem resulted in a PDF that could not be opened by Acrobat Reader 5.

    * Fixed a compatibility problem with WorldText.

PrintToPDF does what its name implies, make PDF documents, and does it very well as a shareware product.
