The National Education Computing Conference (NECC) Begins Today.

NECC is being held in Chicago. Here are PDFs of the program. Beginning at 8:30a CT Steve Jobs will deliver the 1.5 hour keynote address, his first at NECC. In addition, Cheryl Vedoe, Apple's new VP for Education, will lead a session on empowerment through technology. iBooks are available to check out for a half day beginning on Saturday before the conference. Apple has also networked the halls with AirPort and 120 wireless email stations to demonstrate its simple wireless technology. There has been speculation that Steve Jobs may introduce a new iMac in his keynote address.
