Follow Up--Screen Ripples on iBook (Dual USB)

We received a lot of mail confirming this issue noted yesterday but most stated that their problem was not as severe as on our two new iBooks (lightly jiggling the screen produces ripples out to an inch or so from the screen' right edge). Most also said it only occurred when they pressed on the screen's frame. Josh Cisneros said he has a very mild case with his original iBook. We tried adjusting the lid's screws (they are hex heads and not torx) near where the ripples propagate from but tightening or loosening the screws had no effect on the ripples. I guess we'll have to send them in to Apple for repair. Despite the three issues that we noted yesterday, we still think the new iBook to be an incredible value and the best PowerBook for travel ever made and the best ever consumer laptop.
