GameRanger Hosts Aliens vs Predator Chat Tonight

On Sunday we noted that the demo (Mac OS 9 and X) was available for download but tonight is the GameRanger chat. Scott Kevill, president, GameRanger Technologies, today announced that at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT, Tuesday September 4, GameRanger will host a chat with MacPlay, the publisher of Aliens vs Predator for the Mac, to celebrate the release of the demo.

Use Report: We downloaded the demo and music yesterday afternoon and played it on a Power Mac G4 533DP with a GeForce3 card running Mac OS X. It was very dark so we turned the gamma setting in the game all the way up (to the right). This wasn't enough so we also turned off the gamma correction on our 17" LCD monitor. When you choose to be the marine it's pretty fast action when the aliens attack. The best we have been able to do so far is to take out seven aliens before they get us. Tips: Use the "Return" (or Enter) key to throw switches and open locks and watch out for the unbroken fan, it sucks pretty hard. If you are a fan of the Alien movie series and like first person shooter games, we think you'll really like this game.
