Mac OS X 10.0.3 (Build 4P13) is Available

for download via Mac OS X's Software Update control panel (1.6 MB). From the Read Me file, "The 10.0.3 Update ensures full visibility of file lists in directories that contain a large number of items." We downloaded and installed the update on a PowerBook 2000, iBook SE 466 and iMac 350 SL with no problems. It is also available as a standalone download from Apple's server but as a 15 MB file. The TIL for 10.0.3 is confusing, listing 10.0.2 as the file to be downloaded and as a 15 MB file instead of 1.6 MB. The actual name of the file is 10.0.3 but it is 15 MB--perhaps, it is a combination of 10.0.2 and 10.0.3. We will add to our "How Fast it It?" series when we are able to use our G4 Cube next week.
