Mac OS X Tidbits--Partitioning

Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.1 are installed on a single partition with 9.1 as the default OS on currently shipping Macs. We are still using two partitions on most of our computers, one partition with Mac OS X and a minimal Mac OS 9.1 for Classic Mode and the other partition with a full Mac OS 9.1 with all our third-party utilities, control panels and extensions enabled.
