Mac OS X Tip--Enabling Brightness Controls on a PowerBook Keyboard

The keyboard brightness controls on PowerBooks and iBooks that have them do not work with Mac OS X 10.0.2 and lower unless one opens and closes the Displays preference panel. It turns out that doing so launches an application called DisplayServices. Therefore, just go to the Login preference panel and navigate /System/Library/Displays/DisplayServices.app and add it to launch on startup. Unfortunately, there is no comparable sound application.
