More Apple Stores Coming
The store in the Mall of America opened in Bloomington, MN, over the weekend. In his Macworld keynote address, Steve Jobs stated that four would open in August--two have: Willow Bend (Dallas/Ft Worth) and Mall of America. The next will be in the Woodfield Shopping Center August 25 in Schaumburg, IL, outside of Chicago according to Apple's web site. The fourth mentioned during the keynote is Northshore in Boston which is not yet listed.
There will also be a store in Northridge, CA, according to a reader who is a Mac User Group member. The reader received an email soliciting interest in working at the upcoming Northridge store. Here is what Apple is looking for:
- High energy
- Ability to teach/train others who are not familiar with Apple products
- Excellent presentation skills
- Superior communication skills
- Familiarity with Apple hardware/software
- Strong command of the Mac OS
- Knowledge of third party hardware and software
- Specialist in one or more of the following areas:
- Apple hardware (in-depth technical knowledge)
- Desktop publishing (printers, scanners, layout software)
- Desktop video (iMovie, Firewire, digital cameras)
- Games, AirPort networking, customization of Mac OS
- Make up your own area of specialty!

No wonder it's such a great experience to visit an Apple Store.
