New PowerPC CPU to be Announced by IBM

next week at The Microprocessor Forum in San Jose according to this eWeek article. It is a successor to the G3 with planned clock speeds of 700 MHz to 1 GHz and run graphics as fast as the G4's Altivec engine through a different technology.
