Hiram Wilson notes a problem with dual processor G4's, "If you use a dual G4 running OS X to connect to the net via PPP and the internal modem-- then you will experience a kernel panic. I haven't seen any evidence that there are any dual G4 owners using OS X in the manner I just described who are not experiencing this problem. The kernel panic might happen within 10 minutes of connecting or it might take an hour or two." We have not yet tried to confirm this.
