[Update] Apple Looks Good to The Motley Fool: Here is an analysis on Fool.Com of Apple's value which gives Apple very high marks. [Dana Baggett]
[Update] Apple iDVD v2.0.5 Update is available for direct download from Apple. One needs a Power Mac or iMac with the SuperDrive, iDVD 2 and Mac OS X. Apple says:
"iDVD 2.0.5 Update includes enhancements to the burning process, more accurate progress reporting and error notifications, and corrects a situation where some files would mistakenly be identified as iDVD 2 documents."
[Update] Apple SecurityUpdate7-12-02 is available from Apple by direct download or from MUMenu if you have it installed. It does not appear in Apple's Security Update preference pane on our computers. From the Read Me,
"Security Update 7-12-02 increases the security of the Software Update process for systems with Software Update client 1.4.5 or earlier. Packages presented via the Software Update mechanism are now cryptographically signed, and the new Software Update client 1.4.6 checks for a valid signature before installing new packages. Downloaded packages which do not contain a valid signature are deleted from the system."
Thus, it fixes an authentication issue with Mac OS X's Software Update preference pane. [Dana Baggett]
[Update] Charismac's Dr. Fix It: From Charismac, "Have you ever had a CD or DVD that just won't play without skipping? Have you ever been playing a game that just suddenly hangs? Have you tried to be patient as your children want to 'help' by removing your DVDs from the home DVD player only to cover them with finger prints rendering them somewhat useless? If you can say yes to any of these questions then we have the cure for you. Dr. Fix It, a revolutionary electronic CD / DVD repair and cleaning kit is now shipping from CharisMac Engineering. For more information on the release, click here."
