Yes, accordsing to this ZDNet article. Fast FireWire runs at 800 mbps rather than 400 mbps. The FireWire speed bump comes on the heals of USB 2.0 which offers 480 mbps rather than the 12 mbps of USB 1.1. [Dana Baggett]
