IOHO, the BeOS may well be the best OS ever to be partially developed for personal computers, Mac or Wintel. Even in beta version, on a 200 MHz 604e PowerPC the BeOS is lightning fast with protected memory and multi-threading. We can't imagine how fast it would be on a dual GHz G4.
