[Update 7am 8/10] XLR8 Out of Business? Yes, accordiing to this note on the venerable upgrade manufacturer's web site:

"XLR8, Inc. has closed its doors and is no longer in business.
There is no technical or warranty support available.
We apologize for any inconvenience."

The links to their on line store either indicate that it is off line or take you back to the front page with the above notice. However, the software download links are still working. We downloaded back up copies of the software for our XLR8 products.

Fortunately, a week ago we finally traded in our Interview USB device for a new one that works with Mac OS X. Interview USB is an inexpensive solution for downloading movies from our older analog camcorder to our Mac in digital format.
