O'Reilly Interviews M$ Mac Business Unit Marketing Manager

From Paul Martin, "Tim O'Reilly (at O'Reilly press) reports on a conversation with the marketing manager at the Mac Business Unit at Microsoft. Very interesting. In a tangential comment, Tim is seeing quite an intense interest in Mac OS X among 'alpha geeks' who would otherwise be running Linux or Unix. He considers this market to be at least as big as the Apple installed base, and thinks it could lead to a doubling of Apple's market share in the next year or so. I thought that was a rather remarkable comment. I have also noticed a phenomenal interest in OS X in the Linux literature, but I didn't think the market was that big. I guess we will see who is right."
