[Update] iBooks Arriving in Maine Schools according to this Portland Press Herald article. Nine Maine schools in Portland, Kittery and Boothbay Harbor received new Apple iBook computers on Thursday or Friday of last week. The 675 computers are for seventh-graders and their teachers. A rosier state financial forecast ensures the $37 million contract with Apple for 30,000+ iBooks for all seventh and eighth grade students and their teachers will be mostly, if not completely, fulfilled.
