[Update] WAPi Photoshop 2 Tutorial Wednesday, 5/29: Just a quick reminder--Paul Schlosser will be teaching Photoshop 2 on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This class will not be offered again until at least the end of July, so if you are interested, please send an email. Learn how to isolate different parts of an image or layers. Edit layers as discrete artwork with unlimited flexibility in composing and revising an image. Create more complex effects in your artwork using layer masks, clipping groups, and adjustment layers. This class includes both layer basics covered in the Photoshop tutorial and advanced layer techniques.

Classes are $50 for members and $100 for others. They are held in the Tutorial Room at Washington Apple Pi, 12022 Parklawn Dr., Rockville, MD.

[Warning] Do Not Install Griffin iMate Driver v1.5 for X because according to reader David Gendreau and to posts on Accelerate Your Mac!, MacFixit and VersionTracker, the iMate Driver v1.5 causes serious problems with OS X. However, the driver is still available on Griffin's web site. We have not installed it ourselves.

[Update] Gefen Ships VGA to ADC Adapter: Here is the web page. The price is a steep $399 and it only works with 4 resolutions native to Apple's new flat panel LCDs. However, it is the only way to hook up your PowerBook G3 or TiBook earlier than the latest.
