The Ugly
Maybe I was so excited that I didn't read all the specs, but the user-accessible RAM slot is SO-DIMM, or notebook, RAM. The iMac does not take standard desktop PC DIMMS.
I would love to get a 512 module for my iMac but the cost is anywhere from $200-350! I really wish Apple would not have done this. Maybe that's one way that they got the dome so small, but I really would have preferred a slightly bigger base with a desktop standard RAM slot. As such, even though my processor speed has almost doubled from my 450Mhz cube, the speed difference is slightly lost because OSX loves RAM.
I love my iMac. I do not regret buying it one bit. The small flaws are really tiny in the grand scheme of things and I have never loved a computer more. I can't wait for more OS X apps and for more people to experience the joy of this computer. It's worth the wait, folks."
