Apple Store Honors Price Protection Policy, NQA!

Dana Baggett, our New England Editor, bought an iSight from the on-line Apple Store for $149 last weekend. He noticed this past weekend that Apple had reduced the price on the Education store to $129. He called to check out Apple's price protection policy. From Dana,

I called my friendly Apple Store customer service rep this AM. I gave him my invoice number for my iSight purchase and explained my request for a price adjustment. No problem. Happy to do it. $20 + $1 sales tax = $21 credit card credit. Just like that.

In passing my friendly Apple Store customer service rep (and he was, too) said that now, Apple Store Education Individual prices have been reduced to equal Apple Store for Education Institution pricing. Teachers pay the same as the school would pay. Makes sense.

Just an example of why Apple is getting top scores in customer service these days. Now I'm glad I made my purchase at The Apple Store!
