Earthlink Issues Scam Warning--Our Experience

We received the following note from Earthlink:

"Recently, many Internet users including EarthLink subscribers have received fraudulent emails requesting that they submit sensitive personal information by email, fax, or on a fraudulent EarthLink Web site. These emails are fake and are set up by criminals to steal your personal information."

We have received numerous emails purporting to be from Paypal, looking exactly as if they were and asking us to enter personal and financial information, including credit card numbers and their PINs. We reported them to Paypal.

While it may be hard to believe that people would fall for this, apparently they do. Don't be one of them.
