MBlast Worm Secondary Attack a Dud

according to this IDG News Service article. As we noted last week, the MBlast worm wreaked havoc on PCs and PC networks and could affect the performance of Mac networks if they included even one PC. The MBlast worm (formally W32.Blast.Worm) was also programmed to mount a DNS attack against Microsoft's Windows Update site (windowsupdate.com). But M$ deftly avoided the attack by de-registering the domain name. This kept the attacks from nearly a half million infected computers from even leaving those computers.
