From the Dark Side--M$ Killed WIPO Meeting on Open Source

by lobbying the U.S. government according to this interesting CIO Insight article by Stanford professor Lawrence Lessig. The World Intellectual Property Organization was set to discuss the increasing movements by governments to embrace open source software when the U.S. threw cold water on the meeting as a result of lobbying by Microsoft. The meeting was cancelled even though the U.S. argument was lame according to Lessig. Once again M$ leverages its monopoly to preserve its monopoly. Why is justice so blind? [Dana Baggett]
