For many years we have opined that Apple is likely to lose its market share in school systems through the same mechanism that Apple lost out in the business enterprise market. The mechanism consists of self-serving and, at best, ignorant IT managers dictating Wintel computers for entire school systems based on defective cost comparisons and carefully crafted biased specifications.
