The group, claiming to represent 6 major on line peer-to-peer file sharing services, has offered to cover the $2,000 settlement between the girl's mother and the RIAA resulting from the RIAA's first 261 lawsuits againast major on line music pirates, i.e. those sharing more than 1000 songs, according to this Yahoo News article.
