Steve Jobs' "Year of the Laptop" Prediction Comes True
according to this San Francisco Chronicle article.
"Laptops accounted for 54.2 percent of the $500 million in revenue generated by U.S. retail computer sales in May, the first time portables have surpassed their desktop counterparts in that category...."
At Macworld 2003 SF in January, Steve Jobs proclaimed 2003 to be the "year of the laptop". It appears to be true, not only for Apple, but for the entire PC industry.
