Tonight on Your Mac Life
The Washington Apple Pi User Group (http://www.wap.org/) is celebrating their *25th* Anniversary this April 26th. Your Mac Life's Host, Shawn King, is embarking on another year of User Group Tours starting this April in the Washington, DC area and they have invited the host of Your Mac Life to speak at their Anniversary General Meeting on that day. On Wednesday night's show, Shawn will talk to Dave Ottalini, VP Publicity, Washington Apple Pi Mac User Group, about the group's longevity and what activities they have planned in the coming year.
There was a great deal of concern in the past week over a web page on the Adobe.com site (since removed, BTW) that pointed to an article showing how a single-processor 3.06 GHz Dell Precision Workstation dramatically outperformed a similarly equipped dual-processor 1.25 GHz Macintosh G4 at rendering compositions in After Effects 5.5. David Nagel at www.DigitalVideoEditing.com has written not so much as a rebuttal but more of a response pointing out that the issue isn't problems with Apple's hardware but rather *Adobe's* software!
