From the Dark Side--M$ Exits Wi-Fi Market, Mission Accomplished or Driven Out by Competition?

Microsoft recently announced that it was dropping its Wi-Fi wireless networking line of hardware. M$ claimed they accomplished their mission of "raising the bar." Huh? Can you think of one significant Wi-Fi innovation introduced by M$ or any innovation for that matter. According to some industry analysts the truth, something M$ is also not famous for, may lie closer to being driven out by competition. M$'s market share has recently dropped by almost a third and profit margins have become tiny with prices for wireless routers falling to well under $100 through competition. [Dana Baggett]
