Minidrives Used in iPod Mini to Take Off Later this Year
IBM invented them in the mid-90's but it took Apple's iPod Mini to bring them to market in a big way according to this CNetAsia article. Minidrives are about 1 inch across and hold up to 4 GB of data. They are getting smaller in diameter and larger in capacity and will find their way into more devices so a number of manufacturers are cranking up production in response. [Dana Baggett]
