Paranoid Android 1.2 is Out--Protects Against Malicious URI Calls

Apple fixed the problem with Help Viewer running malicious AppleScripts with their recently released Security Update 2004-05-24. But it does not fix the possibility of other exploits using URI calls through a web browser, particularly mounting a disk image--see this CNet article for details. Paranoid Android by Unsanity simply intercepts all such calls and gives one the chance to cancel them before the action takes place.
