Adding Music To Macintosh iLife Projects--WAPi General Meeting this Saturday

Mr. Raul de Arriz, Absolute Mac, will present Music and iLife this Saturday, November 18, at the Washington Apple Pi (WAPi) General Meeting. Raul will demonstrate how to enhance the Macintosh iLife products with music, using both iLife methods and hardware available for sale at Absolute Mac. The iLife software suite has five applications for creating polished art from simple beginnings: iPhoto edits digital camera images, producing albums and photo cards; iMovie edits video to create great cinema; iWeb for Internet photo albums, blogs and podcasts; you use GarageBand to compose and edits your own music; and with iDvD, you can save your creations for perpetuity on CD and DVD media.

"With a bit of practice, everyday people generate out-of-this-work art with Apple's iLife application suite on the Macintosh," stated Pat Fauquet, Washington Apple Pi's VP for Programs. She continued, "Adding music to photo albums, videos, web photo albums or by adding podcast theme music takes your production a giant step closer to professional-quality products. Some professionals avoid studio expense by finishing their CDs using iLife."

The traditional Mac user meeting question and answer session starts at 8:30 am as members and guests gather. The formal meeting opens at 9 am with three concurrent special interest group sessions. These breakout sessions end at 10:00 for Raul's Music and iLife presentation. Members, visitors and guests are invited to continue their discussions over lunch at Reston Town Square's Panera Bread store three blocks away.

The November/December Pi Fillings CD, which helps defray meeting costs, is for sale at meeting for $10.
