Aspyr Media Game Report--Call of Duty 2 and Quake 4 plus a Doom3 Patch for MacIntels Coming Soon
Aspyr is expecting to make two early 2006 releases for the Mac: Quake 4, and Call of Duty 2. Aspyr is also working earnestly on Civilization IV. They have a slew of games for 2006 yet to be announced.
We especially welcome Call of Duty 2, which so far has been released only for Xbox, since we are a heavy online player of Call of Duty.
On the MacIntel front, Aspyr been working on an Intel version of Doom 3 for a while, and early testing on the Intel iMac shows some great performance. Look for a free downloadable patch for Doom 3 to provide native Intel support soon.
Other games that Aspyr has been working on internally for OS X Intel include Sims 2, Quake 4, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. [Bill Fox]
