Brief Hands-On Report--Apple released iTunes 7.0.2

iTunes 7.0.2 Update is available for download via Software Update or as a stand-alone updater from this Apple Web page. According to Apple,

iTunes 7.0.2 adds support for the Second Generation iPod shuffle and addresses a variety of stability and performance issues found in iTunes 7 and 7.0.1.

We downloaded iTunes 7.0.2 via Software Update and installed it with no problems on numerous Macs: Power Mac G4 Cube, 12" PowerBook G4, Mac mini Core Duo, 15" MacBook Pro, 20" iMac Core Duo and 24" iMac Core 2 Duo. We used iTunes 7.0.2 to play music, videos and a movie from our library and to "purchase" this week's free iTunes song, all without incident. [Bill Fox & Dana Baggett]
