Samsung Debuts New Faster 1GB Flash RAM for iPods and 'Books?

The new flash RAM is based on a 70nm process, smaller than the currently most advanced flash RAM using a 90nm process. The sustained read speed is 108GB/sec as opposed to 68GB/sec for the 90nm process. Both processes yield chips that have a sustained write speed of 9.3GB/sec. Samsung says the new flash RAM chips are for "...handsets, hybrid hard disks, memory cards and other consumer electronics products."
