Apple released Mac Pro SMC Firmware Update 1.1

Apple released Mac Pro SMC Firmware Update 1.1 and it is available for download via Software Update, we presume since we do not have a Mac Pro, and as a stand-alone file from this Apple Web page along with installation instructions that you do not want to miss.

According to Apple,

The SMC Firmware Update adjusts fan behavior in the Mac Pro.

After this update has completed successfully, your SMC Version will be:
1.7f10 (Mac Pro)
1.5f3 (Mac Pro 8-core)
