Apple TV loses Big Time to Xbox in AP Image Comparo

While Apple TV does everything else right, including being small and attractive, an AP reporter called the video images produced by Apple TV from iTunes on the author's HDTV "horrible" despite the video being near DVD resolution. The AP reporter then praised the video images produced by a Microsoft Xbox.

We can not confirm or deny this observation because we have neither an Apple TV nor a Microsoft Xbox. But there have been complaints that Apple TV's resolution only goes up to 720p and not to the top HD resolution of 1080p. Still, a resolution of 720p properly displayed should be excellent and certainly not "horrible." [Bill Fox via Joe Sacco]
