3Com will produce a cable modem for $200-250 for consumers in the first quarter of 1998 according to a NEWS.COM story. The 38 Mbps throughput of cable makes the 128Kbps of ISDN look pretty puny. Remember my advice to invest in cable and satellite technology--its coming pretty soon and will make even ADSL look like a trickle.
