After drafting the above, I discovered that on 9/7 Ric Ford, MacInTouch's webmaster, wrote an excellent open letter to Steve Jobs outlining the anxiety and concern that recent Apple moves have caused him and the Mac community, requesting that he let us know where he is taking Apple and supplying a series of questions with guessed-at answers. I hope Jobs clarifies things as much as possible. I am sure that he can not disadvantage Apple competitively by revealing everything we want to know but almost anything would help.
