Alcatel and Hayes will introduce an ASDL modem for around $250 according to a NEWS.COM article. Forget 56Kbps modems and ISDN at 64-128Kbps, ASDL will do 6Mbps. The modem is due in early 1998 and four major telco's will offer ASDL service in mid-1998.
