The Consumer Reports 1998 Buying Guide arrived yesterday. It provides a very balanced view between PCs and Macs and supports the Mac as still the easiest to use. It also notes that just because one has a PC in the office, one does not need a PC at home since a Mac can translate and use most PC files. According to the reader survey, the Mac is the very best computer in terms of quality (core components and peripherals) and service satisfaction.
