David Every of MacKiDo Temple has a couple of new articles, one on Dave Winer and the other on an Un-named Columnist(s). I love this guy's stuff!
MacIntouch (7/14) posted a reader's complaint about throughput with the internal modem in the PowerBook 3400 which was also posted on Apple's Technical Support Online. PowerBooks that I've used with internal modems, i.e. the 540c and 3400/180, have suffered a throughput penalty so this is not new. The throughput, as measured by Netscape, on my 3400 is nearly the same with the internal modem and a PC card modem (about 8% better). However, I did create my own modem script for OT/PPP 1.0 (&FL1M1W2) using Apple's Modem Script Generator.
