Slow PowerBook 3400 Modem Issue: MacFixIt 10/27 and The PowerBook Source have recent articles on the issue--the best potential solution so far is to add %E1 to the modem init string. I haven't tried this since while my PB 3400 connects a lower speeds, the throughput appears normal for a 33.6K modem.
