From Marty Pfeiffer, "Well I've finally finished with Nu Serif. This font family is based on Apple's very legible Espy Serif bitmap font, which is used in the Apple Guide. My Nu Serif font looks good on the printed page and on-screen."
Connectix announced yesterday that Virtual PC v2.0 will be released in late February. It is reported to be faster than v1.01 by some 25-40%. Upgrades for v1.0-1.01 owners will be less than $50--here we go again.
In response to an earlier query to Macs Only!, reader Aaron Stampa wrote that Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 runs very slowly on Virtual PC-Win95 on his 8600/200, "...about 1 fps and barely playable." I've not used it much, but I think that Flight Simulator is very marginal on Virtual PC even on the PowerForce G3 250 card.
MacFixIt first reported Thursday that AT&T World net will be dropping "live" Mac support for its internet customers. There are rumors that AT&T may establish web page support for Macs instead. I was thinking about switching to AT&T World net for when I travel as the service worked very well during the free trial period. I may not now depending on what dropping live Mac support turns out to really mean.
