to the many readers who responded to my plea for help with my missing most-recent 2-month block of email. I am on travel and will try them when I return. The most promising suggestion offered by several readers is to open Netscape's "Inbox" file with BBEdit to see if the missing emails are there and if so, then archive them as a text file. Then toss the companion file "inbox.snm", the mail index file (not "inbox"), and reboot to see if Netscape remakes an index that can read all my mail. If not, then at least I'll have the BBEdit text file to refer to. My fingers are crossed because there are many emails that I need to respond to in the missing block.
