iBook AC Adapter Fit Power Books?

Several readers reported that Apple Store employees claimed that the new iBook AC adapter described on Macs Only! yesterday does NOT fit current or previous or PowerBooks. The connector looked the same to me and several Apple employees at Macworld said it was the same. Unfortunately, I didn't actually plug it into my 2400c. Since I really want one for my 2400c, I will be the guinea pig, order it and post whether it works or not when it arrives.
