iMacs In Apple Store Short Supply = New One At Macworld?

Very likely as such is consistent Apple's low inventory policy. From Dana Baggett, our revered futureman, "Methinks this indicates that there will be a new iMac announced at Macworld and Apple is letting the present supply in the retail channel dwindle down." Yep, Apple did this with the B&W G3's, the Yum's, the 333's and most recently with the PowerBook G3 Series Bronzes. Of course, Steve Jobs hates predictability so we'll have to wait and see for sure. On a related matter, yesterday O'Grady's PowerPage posted evidence that the consumer portable (P1) may not be ready to be announced at Macworld in July. The rumored P1 features add up to a likely loser in my NSH opinion. If the P1 is anything like the recent rumors, I hope Apple uses this opportunity to rethink its product. What does any of this have to do with my prediction of an Apple-branded PDA-like device announcement at Macworld? Nada. Fingers are still crossed!
