New Shockwave v7.0.2 Quite A Show

As noted yesterday, Shockwave has been updated to version 7.0.2 and is a free download. What you get is really an active installer. When clicked it sends you via your web browser to Shockwave's web site and downloads more than a few extensions. The key new feature is the Shockwave Remote that can control and play files on Shockwave's site that are games, comics, cartoons, puzzles, music and more. The remote allows you to save and replay any five of them. There is also an ad for Shockmachine, a "pro" remote for $19.95 that gives you even more control over the files, retains an unlimited number and allows one to organize them. Several readers wrote that they had problems after the installation but I've installed it on five computers with no resulting problems. Things to look out for are the checkbox to allow sending you ads and to automatically update your files while on line if you don't like these features. You also have to register with your email address.
