Steve Jobs' WWDC Keynote Speech Is Today

Starting at 12:30p EDT, he is expected to focus exclusively on software, i.e. an announcement of the release of Mac OS 8.6 [which curiously was on Apple server #3 for an hour Saturday] and perhaps the release of a preview version of Mac OS X client. The latter is due out in final at the end of the year according to Apple's Mac OS X product manager Ernie Probhakar two weeks ago. Just perhaps, Steve will introduce the successor to the PowerBook G3 Series which Apple has been clearing out of reseller channels for the past month or so. Apple will cover Steve's keynote live via QuickTime 4 here so get QT 4 this morning. [Dana Baggett] ZDNet TV will cover it with a live webcast right here.
