Follow Up--JVC & FireWire

I purchased a JVC Mini DV & VHS Video Cassette Recorder model HR DVS1 here in Australia for use with our iMac and iMovie. This way my students can continue to use the DV video camera while another group edit their tape using the deck and an iMac. Everything works fine from the JVC deck. The only problem I had was in controlling the FF and RW on the deck from the iMac.It would start the deck up alright but then the iMac would freeze. This was solved by updating to FireWire 2.2.2. Now all works fine. So there isn't a need to give up hope if you have a JVC Deck or camcorder."
