Mobile Canadians Have Apple Warranty Issue

Apparently Apple will allow PowerBooks bought in Canada to be shipped by Canadians while in the US to Apple's Austin repair facility for warranty repairs. Unfortunately, according to Don Leslie, this policy does not extend to desktops no matter how mobile they are, even the G4 Cube. Canadians who bought their Cube in Canada have to return it to Apple Canada who will then ship it to the US for repair and return it to the Canadian address of the owner. Since many Canadians winter in the US with their Macs, this is an overly onerous policy. Hopefully, Apple will reconsider this unnecessary policy.
