Motorola Announced 1 GHz G4 CPU

yesterday at the Microprocessor Forum according to this CNet article. Moto claimed it will achieve 1 GHz with its silicon on insulator (SOI) technology applied to the 700 GHz G4 CPU that it announced at last year's Forum as stated in the article. Unfortunately, the 700 MHz G4 is still vaporware.
